It would seem as though since I am an adult I should have it all figured out right? That is so far from the truth. I have gone to so many people to get advice on relationships they are probably tired of hearing from me. But, I never get tired of asking them questions. They seem so smart and know exactly what to tell me to make everything make sense. I am right now 35 years old and single. I have never been married and have never even had a truly long term relationship. What I want to know is how to do it, how to fall in love and stay in love. I have read enough books, and asked too many friends. Now I have taken to the internet. I have found several web sites that actually give good advise. And not childish advise, actually good advise. And anymore that is rare.

My daughter was asking our college-aged neighbor if she knew how to get your ex back. I was completely astonished at this as my daughter is only ten years old. This boy that she wants to win back broke her heart last month. They only dated for three weeks, if you could even call it dating. The advice the college-aged neighbor gave to my daughter was surprisingly really great advice. She told my daughter to not call or text her ex. She said this would just make him want to run away from her even more. She told my daughter that she should continue to be the fun and happy person that she has always been and he may come to realize that he misses being around her when she’s in a fun mood. My daughter said she will keep this all in mind for when she’s a teenager because it’s not worth it when you are ten.

I went over to his apartment and told him how much I love him and can’t live without him. He shut the door in my face.
